Director
Gail Samaroo
Hi there! I’m Gail, a proud mom and a big believer in the power of learning—at any age! Whether I’m helping my own children through school or working with students to unlock their potential, teaching has always been a true passion of mine. I believe that learning builds confidence, and confidence builds success—both inside and outside the classroom.
When I’m not diving into the world of numbers, reading, or problem-solving, you’ll probably find me planning my next foodie adventure or exploring a new city. I love to travel and discover new cultures—and yes, new snacks too!
With a background in contract operations and leadership in the pharmaceutical industry, I bring structure, patience, and a commitment to excellence to everything I do. But it’s the joy of watching a child grow, learn, and believe in themselves that inspires me most.
I’m so excited to be part of this community and can’t wait to support our amazing students on their learning journeys!

Director
Charlene Reyes-Perez
As a mom of two and a proud product of local schools—from St. Matthew’s to Mercy High School and USF—I’m passionate about education and the power of learning. With a background in chemistry and Philippine studies, and years of experience in clinical trials at Gilead Sciences, I bring both structure and heart to everything I do. When I’m not at Small Group Tutors, you can find me baking, bowling, or geeking out over Marvel, Harry Potter, or the latest Trader Joe’s finds. I believe in helping kids grow not just academically, but with confidence and joy.

Ronielle B.
Hello! My name is Ronielle and I’m currently a sophomore in college studying accounting. My favorite subjects are math and accounting (obviously). In my free time, I enjoy playing tennis, reading books and crocheting. I’m also obsessed with Kdramas and am currently rewatching 2521 for the bajillionth time. Can’t wait to learn what you’re currently watching!

Tutor
Aaron S.
Hi! My name is Aaron, and I’m a freshman at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo studying Environmental Science and Agriculture. I’m also a proud graduate of Carlmont High School. Science and math have always been my strongest subjects, and I naturally enjoy working with both.
Outside of school, I love playing sports, traveling, and making music on my keyboard and computer. Above all, I’m passionate about creating a supportive space where students feel valued, build confidence, and develop a genuine passion for learning. I’m super excited for the opportunity to support and connect with students on their academic journey!

Tutor
Amanda L.
Hi! I’m Amanda, a UCLA graduate with a degree in Statistics. Growing up, math was always my favorite subject, but over time, I also developed a strong passion for writing — especially in the interdisciplinary space between math and communication. In my free time, I love discovering new cafés, spending time with friends, and exploring new hobbies. I’m excited to build a supportive learning environment where students can cultivate a genuine love for learning. I can’t wait to meet you all!

Tutor
